Welcome View VINIP 2005 website.
VINIP has become an institution for intellectual property practitioners who enjoy travel, adventure, fine wine, and extraordinary experiences. Since 2003, we have gathered IP professionals from around the world to network and share opinions and knowledge on a number of IP topics. VINIP is a small, social and informal group that encourages fun and collegiality. The conference includes seminars in the morning, hiking, biking, and touring the region in the afternoon, followed by memorable evenings of wining and dining. VINIP 2006 is geared towards IP practitioners, including in-house and outside counsel. The theme this year is “Trans-Border IP”. The seminars will cover a wide range of topics from an update on the patenting of “method” inventions such as business methods and medical diagnostic methods, non-traditional trade-marks, and antitrust concerns. In the past, our adventures have taken us to Burgundy, Bordeaux, and Tuscany. This year, Alsace, France welcomes us. The region sits on the eastern border of France and is hailed as perhaps one of the most scenic in all France. Tiny half-timbered villages with cobbled streets and winding lanes; Alsace is full of colour and warmth, with a surprise around every corner. The wine with its many Grands Crus is superb as is the food of Alsace. Our four star host is Hotel Du Parc www.hotel-du-parc.com. It sits just outside the village of Obernai on the famous Route du Vin that winds along the edge of the Vosges Mountains beside the major vineyards of the region. Typically Alsatian in style, the hotel has two restaurants, sauna, steam bath, indoor and outdoor pools, and a stunning garden. Make some memories and join the VINIP tradition! |
